FAVES from Sephora Spring Sale

SOOOOoooOOO as we all know – or if you live under a rock and didn’t know – it’s that time of year …. Sephora’s spring saleđź’•. This year, because corona is ruining lives, Sephora has actually made the code unlimited – this means that you can go back and place yet another online order every time you watch a beauty vlog and realize there’s another product you MUST HAVE. Why should you have to live with any regrets… order all the makeup your heart desires, and do it now while it’s still in stock! Shit is flying off the shelves QUICK. Every time I go back (placed my fourth order today hehe) there are more and more products sold out. So before the site is wiped clean…. here are my faves I got from the sale… ~so far~

Okay so first up is the Tatcha Dewy Skin Cream. This moisturizer is simply the best. That’s all I can say. It’s the perfect consistency and smells like lavender – it’s just so refreshing to put on in the morning. I live for it.

Next is the Tarte Timeless Smoothing Primer. This. Is. So. Good. Its definitely a thicker primer – it feels like a clay when you put it on. But it gives you such an airbrushed look once you put your foundation over it, and completely eliminates any remnants of a single pore.

This is the foundation you should absolutely use over that primer. The Dior Airflash Spray Foundation. Talk about life changing. If you want a light weight, yet full coverage, foundation that makes you look like you used the facetune smooth tool in real life…. Dior Airflash is your girl.

Drunk Elephant B-Hydra Intensive Hydration Serum. Okay so this is probably the most random thing I bought. It requires a story. So basically, I’m very allergic to dogs. My boyfriend has 2 of them, and my best friend has 3 – going to their houses is always so much fun because I get to hang out with people I love and also get to rip the skin on my nose apart as I plow through boxes of tissues while trying not to die!!! As you can imagine, the skin around my nose gets very irritated and chapped from the constant tissue use. SOOOOO I wanted to get something extra hydrating to try and use on my face for when this happens. I used it for the first time last night and it felt like any other serum I’ve ever used. Nothing special. I’m indifferent about this product. **UPDATE** I’ve been using this for about 4 days now and my skin has never been more supple and hydrated. This has now become part of my morning routine and I prob won’t be able to live without it.

Too Faced Damn Girl! Mascara AND Tarte Opening Act Lash Primer. You need both. Together. Back in the good old days (before Corona)… I would get a lash lift every 6 weeks to keep my lashes perfectly curled. Using this dynamic duo on my lashes had everyone always thinking I had fake ones on. I promise it’s life changing combo.

Summer Fridays Lip Butter Balm.…..okay sooooo a few months ago that Laneige Lip Mask had all the hype and I simply cannot figure out why. The jar it comes in is too small, it gets stuck under my nails, its very tacky feeling….. I hated it and I dont know why no one else hated it too. Now, the newest lip mask craze is this Summer Fridays one. I don’t hate this one, but again, not seeing why everyone is so obsessed. These lip masks are literally like putting vaseline on your lips… its weird and unnecessary.

I love a good pinkish nude lipstick. I swear by Viva Glam II by Mac. However, as we know, Sephora does not carry Mac. So I decided to try the lipstick combo that everyone has been feening over on TikTok.. Charlotte Tilbury Pillowtalk. It definitely is in the same shade family as my beloved Mac, but it’s no where near as as creamy. I do like it, but I definitely think Viva Glam will remain my go to.

Next we have a blush. I am not a HUGE blush person because I get PTSD from my dance competition days where the “less is more” mantra did not exist and I actually looked like I contoured my face with blush…..Because of this I’m a little hesitant to go for pink blushes and go for more darker nude / peach shades. I always wanted to try a NUDESTIX product, and since we’re sale shopping, figured there was no time like the present. NUDESTIX Matte Blush & Bronze in Naughty n’ Spice. This is the first cream blush I’ve ever used, but its so easy to blend and really looks so natural on the skin. My goal with blush is to look like I got the TINIESTTT bit of sunburn on my cheeks / across the bridge of my nose- you know, when you’re on vacation and you have that sun kissed glow to you. This blush delivered.

Last, but certainly not least, OUAI Volumizing Hair Spray. Our girl Jen Atkin doesn’t mess around. I have very fine hair, and typically wear it straight. I SWEAR by this hair spray to get the volume I so desperately need and deserve. It smells delicious too and combats any smell of heat you may get from styling tools. A+ for Jen.
